Tonight we went to the restaurant Tomoki, that Keiko recommended. It was
sublime. It is a tiny little 10 seat restaurant. A young husband and wife team
run it. Everything is exquisite, the decor, the dishes, the ambiance and
especially the refrigerator. The refrigerator holds the fresh fish that he gets
daily from the fish market. The top doors on either side hold large blocks of
ice to keep the interior cool. They don't believe in electric refrigerators.
This custom built wood refrigerator is a work of art in itself.
Although we thought we were getting just Shushi, we had course after
course of small plates of fish. Their English was extremely limited, but they
tried to name each fish, and when they couldn’t showed us translation on their
smart phone. We simply believe you can’t get a variety of fresh fish like this
anywhere in the world except Tokyo. It was fantastic!

WOW. I could eat each one of your images. BTW I can tell the difference between old iPhone pix and new - the WB is much better; focus also. Sounds incredible.
OMG, I am not sure I can be content with vicarious traveling via your blog after seeing the pix and reading the descriptions of the sushi, shopping, and tea experiences. It's time for me to plan a return visit to Japan!!
Beautiful pics....Love them all!
